Jose Rodriguez is one of Miami’s leading real estate attorneys in large part because of his ability to smoothly navigate extremely complex transactions, ventures and workouts of distressed assets and closings of complex real estate-related acquisitions for a client base that includes numerous prominent South Florida developers, Latin American and other international clients and high-net-worth entrepreneurs.
Rodriguez’s client representation runs the gamut from representing multiple residential developers in obtaining in excess of a $1 billion worth of development and construction financing and leading the end closing of thousands of condominium units at individual buildings/communities to arranging the completion, repositioning and disposition of distressed real estate on behalf of private equity funds and developers. He has also represented clients with the completion of large-scale developments.
Rodriguez has been instrumental in the formation and development of the firm’s real estate team. The firm represents developers, investors and entrepreneurs through each phase of real estate transactions, from acquisition and document preparation, to financing and closing of complex deals. The firm has assembled a robust condominium practice that has closed more than 18,000 condominium units with a total value exceeding $8 billion dollars over the last two decades.
As the only Latin named partner of RVMR, Rodriguez has helped the firm to become more diverse and to continue and expand its significant involvement in the community through the support of numerous charities.
This year, following the tragic collapse of the Champlain Towers in Surfside, FL, Rodriguez was appointed by The Florida Bar to serve on its newly formed Condominium Law and Policy Life Safety Advisory Task Force.
