Robert J. Cooper

Robert J. Cooper was the youngest lawyer to make partner at Pircher, Nichols & Meeks LLP and came over to Thorofare Capital, Inc. as general counsel. In this role, Cooper has overall responsibility for the company’s legal affairs. He manages the legal execution and oversight of all debt investments made by Thorofare Capital and its affiliates, fund formations and separate account initiatives. 

Cooper has closed more than $2 billion of financial transactions during his tenure at Thorofare Capital while handling all legal matters including, but not limited to, credit facility closings, corporate and litigation matters and fund vehicles. He has extensive experience in the structuring, negotiation and documentation of commercial real estate debt and equity investments throughout their life cycles. This includes substantial experience in the management, enforcement, restructuring and realization of these investments.  

Prior to joining Thorofare in 2015, Cooper represented private equity funds, private debt funds (including Thorofare) and other institutional investors in complex commercial real estate debt and equity transactions during his time at Pircher.
