Rosemarie T. Thurston

Rosemarie Thurston is a partner with the financial services & products group at Alston & Bird, leads the firm’s REITs & real estate funds team, and serves on its management committee. She represents real estate companies, underwriters, real estate funds, and investment management firms in public securities offerings, private placements, mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, joint ventures, and ongoing securities law compliance.  

Thurston’s broad experience advising public and private companies on complex securities matters, including leading more than $50 billion of capital raising transactions, renders her a frequent national speaker on related topics. She served as counsel to the first-ever dual-share class, NAV-based REIT in a $2.25-billion continuous public offering. Her industry insights and drive for client service give her clients confidence they have a lawyer they can count on to add value to their business.
