Newmark’s Healthcare Capital Markets group specializes in medical office building sales of single assets and portfolios, equity placement, investment banking and financings. The group’s transaction activity includes sales, financing and joint ventures, structured around single-asset and portfolios, across healthcare property types–including medical office buildings, surgery centers, acute-care hospital and post-acute facilities and life science properties–on behalf of a diverse client roster of public and private REITS, core funds, pension funds, insurance companies, private equity, and healthcare providers.

Some of the 2021 transactions included the disposition of the 11-building, 500,000-square-foot Ryan Companies Portfolio and the six-building, 250,000-square-foot Atkins Companies Portfolio. The team also recapitalized and arranged for debt placement on the six-building, 230,000-square-foot Rendina Portfolio and handled recapitalization of the 200,000-square-foot Aspect Health Portfolio and 700,000-square-foot, Cornerstone Companies Portfolio. The Rendina and Cornerstone Portfolios recapitalization seeded $1 billion programmatic joint ventures that were also arranged by Newmark.

The team also handled debt placement on behalf of a newly formed REIT for 750,000 square feet and monetized 14-building dialysis and medical office building portfolio on behalf of Global Nephrology Solutions.
