Cortney Cole

Cortney Cole is a managing director in the Houston office of JLL Capital Markets, Americas, focusing on the Houston market. With her more than 24 years of experience, she started with the firm in 1997 as an administrative assistant to several producers and has earned several promotions throughout the years, rising to the ranks of managing director. In addition, Cole is a team leader for the JLL Equity Placement Group’s Midwest and Texas division. 

She is one of 41 women brokers out of 572 JLL Capital Markets professionals; one of 18 women producers out of the 326 who hold the title of managing director or higher within the firm; the only woman to serve as team leader for any division of JLL’s Equity Placement Group; and consistently is one of the top producers in the firm.  

During the course of her career, Cole has completed in excess of $8 billion in commercial real estate transactions. Additionally, she has been recognized by one of JLL’s top life company correspondent lenders as a top producer annually from 2012 through 2019. In 2021, The Women’s Resource of Houston recognized her with an Outstanding Women in Banking and Finance award. 

Even in a challenging financial market, Cole put together several significant transactions for clients in the last 12+ months, including raising debt for four large construction loans for new commercial real estate developments, each ranging between $80 million and $127 million, plus raising $250 million in joint venture equity in four projects.
