Amy Pooser

As Convene’s COO and chief people officer, Amy Pooser has played an instrumental role in defining the company’s ongoing commitment to best-in-class safety practices. Since the pandemic began, she has been committed to providing and implementing an environment that protects the health and safety of Convene’s employees, valued clients and stakeholders, and the communities in which they operate in and serve.  

Convene was one of the first companies to close its doors and take the necessary steps to slow the spread of COVID-19. Pooser’s leadership in making this decision has both kept current employees engaged and allowed the company to be highly competitive in the hiring market: Convene has exceeded its time-to-fill hiring SLA of 85%, and its turndown rate for offers is currently under 5%.  

Additionally, the company recently updated its in-person COVID-19 safety measures for its 23 meeting and flex office locations throughout the U.S. Convene now requires proof of vaccination status for all employees, clients, members, and guests who visit any physical locations. With Pooser’s guidance, Convene became the first national flex office and meetings and events provider to adopt this policy.
