Amy Blitz

Amy Blitz, fitness guru and celebrity trainer, is one of the co-founders of amenity management firm URBN Playground. She met her business partner managing the fitness facilities at one of New York City’s largest rental complexes; both knew there was an opportunity to offer more full-service, expansive amenity programming that offered lifestyle and wellness in addition to traditional fitness.  

Five years in, URBN has delivered full-service amenity management, design, space planning, tech, and staffing to residential, commercial, and hospitality real estate properties around the country. Clients have ranged from Hines Development and Tishman Speyer to Extell Development and Toll Brothers. URBN Playground also just Ranked #29 on the Inc. 5000 Regionals List for New York Metro.  

In 2020, under Blitz’s leadership, URBN helped buildings in New York City as well as other markets around the country adapt through enhanced virtual programming, and socially distant and private in- person event opportunities. URBN developed and delivered a concierge app for seamless amenity space bookings to adhere to COVID-19 protocols and facilitate using common spaces safely in a changing and challenging environment with contact tracing in place. This is now used in more than 50 buildings. URBN also debuted its concierge software to enable buildings that seek virtual services and booking platforms for residents or office tenants without full-service and staffing needs.
