Rebecca Van Reken

Rebecca Van Reken is a senior commercial real estate capital markets professional who joined Berkadia in the Orlando office as a managing director in 2019. As a 19-year industry veteran, Van Reken has extensive experience sourcing and underwriting debt and equity capital for a wide variety of commercial real estate transactions. Over the span of her career as a lender and capital markets advisor, she has been involved in more than $3 billion in real estate transactions nationwide. 

Van Reken believes in putting her client’s interests first, something which has enabled her to build longstanding relationships with many institutional and local firms. She excels in understanding how to underwrite and finance all kinds of commercial property, from the traditional “four food groups” of office, industrial, retail and multifamily to the more specialized property including hospitality, student housing, self-storage, medical office, land and even specialty uses. 

Van Reken ’s passion for commercial real estate is evident when she talks about working on complex financing assignments. “I find it fascinating to take an intricate real estate transaction and develop a bespoke financing strategy tailored to that unique deal,” she explains. “Once that strategy has been decided, it’s all about communicating the need to the capital markets in a way they can easily digest and which moves them to take action.”
