Starr Cumming serves as the director of specialty leasing for Hines, overseeing all revenue generated via specialty leasing deals (kiosks, temp in-line stores and pop-ups), advertising, filming, sponsorships, walks/runs, sampling events and festivals for Atlantic Station in Midtown Atlanta.
Cumming has more than 24 years of commercial real estate experience and joined the Hines/Atlantic Station team in 2015. Since starting at the 138-acre destination, Cumming has completed more than 600 deals, resulting in more than $7 million for the property in order to create a place for the community to enjoy. Over the past few years, Cumming has attracted high-profile activations, long-term leases, exciting new and returning events and creatively increased foot traffic and revenue for Atlantic Station, many of which were unique to the property.
In addition, Cumming is an advocate for women in commercial real estate and empowering the next generation of industry leaders to succeed. She serves on the OneHines Women’s Network team, a woman-led organization within Hines that promotes women in commercial real estate and is part of the mentorship program at Atlantic Station, giving college students an opportunity to learn more about the industry first-hand. Cumming holds her Georgia Salesperson real estate License and is a 24-year member of ICSC (Innovating Commerce Serving Communities, formerly the International Council of Shopping Centers).
