TJ Edwards

In his role as managing director of Walker & Dunlop’s Proprietary Capital group, TJ Edwards exemplifies a natural born leader who delivers results on time, to the very best of his ability, and most importantly, with compassion. Based at Walker & Dunlop’s Bethesda, MD offices, he has more than 11 years of CRE finance experience, including debt and equity investments, client relationship management, business operations, and marketing strategy. 

For Edwards, his values of diversity and inclusion are integral to both his daily work and his experience encompassing over a decade in commercial real estate finance. Colleagues say he has a talent for bringing people together, employing empathy to understand complex issues, educate others, and develop holistic solutions for driving industry-wide change. He is tenacious in achieving his short-term and long-term goals, and he consistently encourages others to think bigger than they thought possible.

Edwards enjoys giving back to his community: he helps those in need by volunteering to prepare meals for families with sick children via a large national charity. Also, every Christmas Eve, he and his family bring breakfast or dinner to several homeless people throughout Washington, DC.
