Boyle was a part of the team that leased the SimpliSafe HQ. This complex transaction represents the largest office relocation to an existing building in Boston since the beginning of the pandemic. Achieving such a momentous deal required considerable ingenuity and creative thinking, including a lease takeover, termination of State Street’s lease, ground level retail frontage and inclusion of a private roof deck.
Cushman & Wakefield, working in partnership with Newmark Group, Inc., (representing Rockport Group) executed the deal. The new headquarters will occupy approximately 150,000 square feet across four floors, a roughly 70,000-square-foot upgrade from SimpliSafe’s current office location at 294 Washington Street, of which Rockpoint Group assumed rental obligation for $16.1 million.
