Goldman Sachs

Began her career in corporate derivatives

Co-founder, PosiCOVIDity nonprofit organization

Joanna Jin is a rising leader in the financial services and digital banking industries, currently serving as global chief of staff to Goldman Sachs’ newest division, Consumer and Wealth Management. In this role, she works closely with the division’s co-heads and thought leaders to build the digital bank of the future, in an effort to help millions of people across the wealth spectrum achieve their financial goals, including taking out a mortgage and becoming a property owner.

Previously at Goldman Sachs, Jin worked on a multi-asset sales & trading team covering institutional clients focused on the mortgages and structured products space. She started her career at JPMorgan in corporate derivatives, helping corporations in the real estate sector risk manage against fluctuations in asset classes.

Outside of work, Jin is passionate about community-building and financial opportunity. Last year, she co-founded a nonprofit organization called PosiCOVIDity, which equips student entrepreneurs with resources and mentorship to launch business ventures targeting COVID-19 relief for Main Street businesses.

These are just a few reasons we chose Jin as one of the National 2021 Next Generation Award winners. Connect Media’s fifth annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders in the commercial real estate industry who are likely to be influential for years to come.
