Participated in the $110-million sale of Weston Business Center

Based in Miami, FL, Christian Lee leads a team that advises many of the world’s most significant real estate investors on the planning and execution of their investment, disposition and capitalization strategies. Since joining CBRE in 2002, he and his team have closed $22 billion in office and industrial sale and financing assignments.

As the world moved forward from the pandemic and began to look to a new normal, Christian’s team saw an increased appetite for FL investment opportunities as employers and employees identified South FL as a market for relocation. In 2021, the team facilitated the $225-million sale of One Biscayne Tower, a 38-story Class A office tower in downtown Miami, on behalf of L&B Realty Advisors.

Additionally, the team was engaged by CP Group, Rialto Capita and Siguler Guff to sell a majority interest in the Boca Raton Innovation Campus. Due to the sheer size of the partial interest sale, the team focused on a handful of the most likely prospects rather than a wide marketing effort. CBRE was able to bring in DRA Advisors as a majority owner based upon a valuation of $320 million, or nearly 80% above the $179 million it traded for in 2018.

In addition to the above, the team arranged the following significant transactions in South FL in 2021: $120 million for development of Miami Midway Park; $110-million sale of Weston Business Center; $100-million sale of One Town Center in Boca Raton; $96-million sale of Dural Concourse in Miami; and the $91-million sale of Harbour Center in Aventura.

About Lisa McDuffie

Lisa McDuffie arrives at ConnectCRE via REALTOR® world, where she served for nearly two decades as communications director for one of the nation’s largest REALTOR® organizations. She supported two membership-elected presidents who were commercial real estate practitioners, and managed the communications initiatives of the organization’s commercial special interest group. When not following the latest commercial real estate news, Lisa is zeroed in on her charismatic off-the-track thoroughbred as she makes the transition from an utterly failed racehorse to a lovely show hunter.
