Significant developer representations within low-income housing tax credits and multifamily

Her practice includes solar leasing and navigating clients through the unique challenges of emerging technology

CREW Network president-elect for 2022

Alyssa Dangler’s leadership has evolved with the ever-changing environment of the past year. Dangler has been challenged to be a more flexible leader by operating in less-than-ideal circumstances, with remote working and video meetings taking the place of in-person interaction, learning, and discussion. By advocating for her team members, clients and partners in the new environment, Dangler adapted to become a more supportive leader, advisor, and mentor. While the difficulties of COVID were not unique to her team, Dangler was able to lead her team to become more effective and united in serving their clients at Richmond, VA law firm Williams Mullen.

Within the past 12 months, Dangler’s commercial real estate practice has led to significant developer representations within low-income housing tax credits and multifamily real estate. Dangler has closed more than $400 million in multifamily transactions within the past year. In March, she and her team led the acquisition, financing and structuring of a 228-room hotel in Hawaii and are currently working on several other high-profile hotel projects nationwide. Dangler’s solar leasing practice has skyrocketed, with dozens of solar projects placed under options, leases, or purchase agreements in a variety of rooftop, canopy, and ground mount facility arrays.

Within her firm, Dangler is a member of the Women’s Initiative Steering Committee, Recruiting Committee, and Compensation Committee (an elected position), and chairs the tax credit niche practice group. She currently serves on the CREW Network global board of directors, and most recently was elected to serve as CREW Network president-elect for 2022.

These are just a few of the reasons we chose Dangler as one of the Washington, DC 2021 Women in Real Estate Award winners. Connect CRE’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected positions of leadership and play key mentorship roles for others.
