Michael Ytem began his commercial real estate career in 2014 with Henry S. Miller Investments/Land division before joining Novus Realty Advisors, which merged with Younger Partners in 2017. He focuses on the acquisition and disposition of both commercial land and long-term land investments and his knowledge of the core requirements of land brokerage has been a benefit to both strong client support and recruiting. From early in his career, Ytem developed the ability to establish and solidify strong relationships with the most sophisticated clients. He has taken on difficult assignments that are unattractive to the more experienced brokers and solved the problems necessary to close the deals. Ytem became well known in his markets as the go-to man and has the ability to analyze problems and creatively seek difficult solutions. Ytem was able to close an intercity land tract deal that had been for sale for 10 years and had six terminated contracts prior to his involvement.
In 2020, Ytem’s transactions included more than 120 acres, grossing more than $16 million in production. During the past three years, he transacted 330 acres and grossing more than $37 million in production. Ytem has been a Younger Partners top producer each year since joining the firm in 2017 and was also been a D CEO Power Broker in 2018 and 2019. He has completed transactions with local investment groups, local business owners and larger entities such as Richardson ISD, Frito-Lay/Pepsico, Primrose, 7-11 and Oncor.
Ytem can best be described as a servant leader. He is an incredible mentor to young associates and interns, and a team player that goes above and beyond. So much so that he was awarded the company’s first-ever Teammate of the Year award for 2020. Ytem closed nine deals with other brokers that generated 2.4 times his individual gross production amount.
Ytem plays an integral role in the company’s annual holiday toy drive. He took a lead role in 2020, challenging other brokers to meet and exceed one another’s contributions, resulting in Younger’s largest collection yet to benefit Toys for Tots. He has also been a big supporter of the American Heart Association, Salvation Army, North Texas Food Bank, Toys for Tots, Children’s Miracle Network, and Youth Football League and as a volunteer photographer/contributor for the Lockwood Neighborhood Association/annual publication.
