NorthPoint Development

Sources, structures and executes new industrial development opportunities in key markets

Promoted from development manager VP 13 months after joining NorthPoint

REDI Mentor, Urban Land Institute

St. Louis-based NorthPoint Development is one of the most active owners and developers of industrial real estate in the country, having reportedly developed more square footage of industrial real estate than any other group over the past five years.

VP Wakeel Rahman is responsible for sourcing, structuring and executing new industrial development opportunities in several key markets in the Midwest, Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. In a very competitive landscape, Rahman has led the acquisition of several projects in high barrier to entry markets, spanning from the Inland Empire to Southern New Jersey.

These are just a few reasons we chose Rahman as one of the Chicago/Midwest 2021 Next Generation Award winners. Connect Media’s fifth annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders in the commercial real estate industry who are likely to be influential for years to come.
