Weinstein-Carnes is an active member of the commercial real estate community, and is passionate about engaging the younger generation of leaders.

She has a particular interest in housing development including strategies for streamlining residential and mixed-use residential projects, and regularly speaks and writes on changes in the regulatory landscape impacting housing production.

Weinstein-Carnes has been recognized as a Northern California Rising Star by Super Lawyers in the Land Use/Zoning category in 2019 and 2020.

Ashley Weinstein-Carnes is part of the next generation of land use and real estate attorneys guiding high-profile, complex developments in California. Her land use practice focuses on local administrative permitting, and she has successfully obtained land use approvals for large-scale projects including mixed-use and multifamily residential developments, corporate R&D and office campuses, and industrial facilities. She also advises institutional investors, lenders, developers, landowners, and lessees and lessors with regard to existing land use restrictions and agreements, as well as strategies and requirements for the re-entitlement of property.

Part of the team representing Murphy’s Bowl, LLC, the development entity for the LA Clippers NBA basketball franchise, for its proposed $1 billion, 18,000 seat state-of-the-art basketball arena and event center, practice and training facility, sports medicine clinic, and team offices, with associated retail and community facilities and programs, in Inglewood, CA.
Part of the team representing Sand Hill Property Company in its efforts to redevelop the 50-acre Vallco Mall in Cupertino, CA into a vibrant, mixed-use town center that is proposed to include more than 2,400 residential units, 400,000 square feet of retail and entertainment uses, and approximately 1.9 million square feet of office including a 30-acre publicly accessible green roof.

Lisa Brown has decades of experience in corporate communications and marketing management with organizations including Coldwell Banker Residential, Grubb & Ellis, Marcus & Millichap, NAIOP, SIOR and ALM. In those positions, she worked in conjunction with chief executive officers and chief marketing officers to create corporate messaging, cohesive branding standards, strategic marketing plans and thought pieces. Brown is a frequent speaker at industry events and an editing adjunct professor for an online course. She has a master’s degree in mass communications from San Jose State University.
