Moneypenny recntly was named Avison Young’s new Women’s Network Executive Sponsor

Her passion for advancing women at every level in CRE and her tremendous leadership will help build an even stronger Women’s Network employee resource group

Marcy Moneypenny joined Avison Young as principal and managing director of the company’s Denver office in March 2020 just prior to the pandemic lockdown. She quickly worked to make the transition into her new role as smooth as possible despite the added hurdles presented by COVID-19. In the past 18 months, Moneypenny has successfully taken the helm of the Denver office, which has seen growth in both sales and leasing as well as an increasing market share.  

Moneypenny has a robust track record of operationalizing smart, service-led strategies which drives the operations, business development and future service offerings for Avison Young Denver. She is an industry veteran who brings more than 25 years of commercial real estate expertise partnering with clients representing institutional, global, regional and local relationships as well as management experience leading large, diverse teams. 

Prior to joining Avison Young, Moneypenny was with CBRE for 15 years, where she served as senior managing director with the firm’s Strategic Account Group as well as CBRE’s Americas Client Care program.  

Moneypenny is a corporate and local member of ULI, an active member of the Downtown Denver Partnership, past national advisory board member of the Women’s Network and Asset Services Leader of the Year in 2013 for CBRE.

About Lisa Brown

Lisa Brown has decades of experience in corporate communications and marketing management with organizations including Coldwell Banker Residential, Grubb & Ellis, Marcus & Millichap, NAIOP, SIOR and ALM. In those positions, she worked in conjunction with chief executive officers and chief marketing officers to create corporate messaging, cohesive branding standards, strategic marketing plans and thought pieces. Brown is a frequent speaker at industry events and an editing adjunct professor for an online course. She has a master’s degree in mass communications from San Jose State University.
