In 2020, the team originated more than $140 million in first mortgage bridge loans across seven transactions focused on middle market commercial real estate. Tremont’s loans empower sponsors to execute unique, complex business plans that build value and transform.
Notable transactions for the team in 2020 included life science acquisition and expansion financing for the Lab at RTP, a 72-acre lab campus in Durham, N.C. The team provided a $21.5 million loan for the acquisition of the six-building campus.
In addition, the team provided $29.5 million loan for the acquisition of Finley Point, a nine-story 223,771-square-foot class A suburban Chicago office property. The financing included funds for planned capital improvements that are expected to drive occupancy at the highly visible office property.
