Company continued to expand its local and national footprint during pandemic

Capitalized on extensive correspondent relationships that were still actively lending during COVID

American Street Capital (ASC) is a national commercial mortgage banking firm headquartered in Chicago. In 2020, despite the challenging times, ASC and its team of principals Igor Zhizhin, James Bogard and Alexander Rek continued to expand its local and national footprint by capitalizing on its extensive correspondent relationships that were still actively lending during COVID.

Notable transactions included a $10,600,000 bridge loan for the rehab and reposition of a 144-unit multifamily community in Alsip, IL. The planned improvements will modernize the community and provide affordable workforce housing in the area.  Another notable transaction was a $12,590,000 acquisition loan for two LIHTC multifamily communities located in Sebring and Bowling Green, FL. Both of these communities are rent restricted to or at below 60% of the area median income, providing affordable housing in their respective markets.

These are some of the reasons we selected the ASC team for inclusion in our first-ever Top Mortgage brokers and Lenders Awards. These awards recognize industry professionals who have demonstrated the highest standards in commercial real estate finance.
