E-Commerce Momentum is Not Expected to Slow Down Anytime Soon

CA Industrial recently broke ground on the first phase of Luke Logistics Center in Glendale, AZ. The development is the product of a joint venture partnership between CA Industrial and DWS/RREFF.

“The groundbreaking of the first phase of Luke Logistics Center marks the strategic expansion of CA’s presence in the Sunbelt, an increasingly attractive, dynamic market,” said Joe Trinkle, senior vice president and market officer for CA industrial across the Southwest and West regions. “This project supports the continued growth of the e-commerce sector and bolsters our portfolio in a growing market that has seen strong demand for warehouse and distribution space as well as population and job growth.”

Located at the northwest corner of Loop 303 and Glendale Avenue, the four-building site will encompass 90 acres for the industrial facilities totaling 1.5 million square feet. The sustainable development will be suitable for warehousing, distribution, logistics, manufacturing or data center users.

“The rapid growth e-commerce has created an unprecedented need for logistics-oriented spaces and this momentum is not expected to slow down anytime soon,” said Michael Podboy, president of CA Industrial. “CA is poised to strongly benefit from the sector’s secular tailwinds, and we look forward to capitalizing on the current demand as we identify and deliver additional projects to strategically enhance CA Industrial’s portfolio across the U.S.”

The project is being designed and constructed by design-builder LGE Design Build, and JLL’s John Lydon and Hagen Hyatt will be leasing the property.
